Windham Re-signs with Team AMSOIL

Coming off a successful season where he took two wins and finished runner-up for the AMA Supercross championship, Team AMSOIL supercross/motocross star Kevin Windham recently signed a two-year contract extension with the team.

"It’s already been a wild off-season with all the rumors going around of where riders are going, so it’s cool to get this deal done now," Windham said. "I’m really happy to be staying with this team. It’s home. These were the guys that gave me a second chance when I came back from my broken femur in 2002 and it just feels right to stay here.

Canard and Team USA Win Motocross of Nations

Fresh off taking the 250 class Outdoor Nationals championship, Team AMSOIL motocross rider Trey Canard teamed up with fellow American riders Ryan Dungey and Andrew Short September 24-26 to win the 2010 Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations for Team USA at Thunder Valley MX in Lakewood, Colo.

Canard started the competition strong by taking a qualifying win. Although he fell at the first turn in the MX1/MX2 moto, he quickly recovered to move from 38th place all the way to 12th by the end of the race, earning the third MX2 placement in the race. In the MX2/MX3 moto, Canard got stuck in traffic, but moved up to finish a respectable seventh. Canard earned third place overall in the MX2 class.

“It was unbelievable – once again, I am in shock and so thankful for all that has happened the past few weeks,” said Canard. “Standing on the Team USA podium and hearing the National Anthem was the highlight for me – it was unreal!”
